Easter and stuff....

We had a very nice Easter weekend.  On Friday, we (along with my parents) went up to the Cleveland Zoo.  The original plan was to take the kids up to the IX indoor amusement park, but Izzy started puking at about 8:00 on Thursday night, she looked and acted much better on Friday morning, but we didnt think spinning on rides would be a great idea... so the Zoo it was.  She was really excited about it and every time we stopped to look at an animal, she said "I want to see MORE"  So we kept on truckin....   Carter did well, for the most part, he didnt have any major meltdowns but he didnt do as well as Izzy. I guess that's the 1.5 years she has on him.   We were there for about 3-4 hours, we all got some sun and we were pooped when we got home.  I forgot how tiring, walking in the sun all day can be.  All in all-- good trip!


Saturday was cleaning day-- i didnt even take a shower.  We just stayed home, cleaned, did laundry, cleaned some more.  We also colored Easter Eggs with the kids... Izzy LOVED it, she's so artsy-fartsy.  Carter, again, wasnt very interested, so he mostly watched cartoons.   


The Easter Bunny showed up during the night-- the kids each got a basket! Carter got some new Adidas tennis shoes- his feet won't stop growing!!! And then he just got some other random, filler stuff.  Izzy got a new "Little Mermaid" game for the Nintendo Ds and a little pink case for her games (she now has 2- Dora and Little Mermaid).   She got some candy and and a new shirt, bubbles, sidewalk chalk... ya know, the normal junk that clutters your house.     
We got ourselves and the kids ready(see above picture; Carter was NOT into the tie), my parents, brother and Shannon came by and we all headed to Church over at Northside, it was a really nice service... i believe they had 5, so we attended the 10:15.   Great music, great message!  
After Church, my parents gave the kids an Easter gift, then the rest of the family showed up (my Grandparents and my other Grandma).  We hid eggs outside for the kids-- they had fun with that and we ATE TOO MUCH FOOD!!!  
Everyone was gone by 4:00... so we were able to clean up and just relax the rest of the evening, that was nice! 
This past week has been pretty relaxing, not too much going on, which is nice sometimes.  
We are still getting adjusted to our new life in Wadsworth, we really just want to meet some new people that are like us...  Christians, have kids and don't take life too seriously! We get lonely sometimes, we feel like all we have is each other (not always a bad thing) but it would be nice to find people that we can relate to and hang out with on a Friday night, while the kids play (is that not realistic??).  Our time will come, we know that God has huge things in store for us, we moved to Wadsworth for a reason and I can't wait for it all to fall in place and make sense... in the mean time, we are waiting  (not always patiently)!
